Over the last decade, Syrian composer Faraj Abyad has redefined classical Arabic music, blending both past and present Arabic poetry with his unique style. Join Abyad and his orchestra for an unforgettable evening of new compositions, exploring themes of love and coexistence. Experience Abyad’s latest MetLiveArts commission, inspired by poetry inscribed on the walls of The Met’s Damascus Room (Gallery 461), featuring lyrics by award-winning poets from across the Arab world.
